Overview

Hello! I'm Noyabot, a utility and dice engine for Discord. Pick a server from the dock above (or add me to a new one) and explore around. Admin pages generally require Manage Server or Administrator permissions. Below is a quick command cheat sheet.

Dice & Probability

The dice engine supports standard notation, keep-highest/lowest modifiers, nested sub-rolls, and full math expressions.

CommandDescriptionOptions
/roll Roll dice anywhere. You can even install me as a user app and roll in servers I'm not in. Try it live in the Dice Playground!
  • dice the expression, e.g. 1d20, 2d6+5, 5d6k3
  • sort results descending
  • target, whisper
/reroll Repeat your last roll in this server.
  • target, whisper
/odds Exact probability breakdown of a dice expression: histogram, cumulative distribution, mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. Expressions too heavy to solve exactly will point you to /simulate.
  • expression, e.g. 1d20+5, 4d6kh3, 2d6-1d4
  • target, whisper
/simulate Run an expression thousands of times, then analyze the results across Summary, Distribution, and Streaks views.
  • trials up to 1,000,000
  • target success rates and streaks
  • modifier keep the highest (>0) or lowest (<0) of N runs
  • whisper

Dice Notation

  • 20 — a plain number, no dice. 25+3 always comes out to 28
  • d20 — a single die, shorthand for 1d20
  • 4d6kh3 — roll 4d6, keep the highest three (k3 is shorthand); 5d5kl2 keeps the lowest two instead
  • (1d4+1)d6, 2d(5+1d5) — sub-rolls for the dice count, sides, or keep value
  • 2d6*3, (1d4+2)*2 — full math with + - * / ^ and parentheses

Target Syntax

Compare rolls against a condition to count successes: >=15, <10, =20, an inclusive range like 8-12, a set like in {18, 19, 20}, or odd / even. Prefix any target with ! to negate it, so !odd counts only even results. Negative and decimal numbers work too.

Macros & Random Tables

Save dice expressions and random tables on the Macros page, and anyone in the server can invoke them by name. Who can manage macros is controlled by role access in Server Settings.

CommandDescriptionOptions
/macro roll Roll a saved dice macro by name, with autocomplete.
  • name, sort, target, whisper
/macro table Pick entries from a saved random table. Supports weighted entries and duplicate picks.
  • name, pick, duplicates, whisper

Utilities

CommandDescriptionOptions
/timestamp Turn natural language into Discord timestamps, all seven formats with copy buttons. Works in servers and DMs.
  • time, e.g. next Friday at 3pm est, in 2 hours
/someone Pick a random non-bot member, with optional channel or role filters.
  • channel, role, ping, text
/random Work with a list of words: shuffle, sort, split into chunks, or pick a subset. Separate items with commas, semicolons, or periods.
  • choices, sort, split, pick, duplicates
/remind Set a persistent reminder with a cancel button. Reminders survive restarts and can be scheduled up to 10 years out.
  • time, e.g. in 5 minutes, next Tuesday at 2pm
  • message, optional

Context Menu Commands

Right-click (or long-press) a message and look under Apps. All of these work in servers and DMs, except Report Message, which is servers only.

CommandDescription
Report Message Flag a message for the mod team, with a reason. Reports go to the configured mod channel and are tracked on the Reports page.
Remove URL trackers Strip tracking parameters from URLs in the message, using domain-specific rules and entropy filtering to keep useful parameters intact.
Extract raw JSON Download the message's full raw JSON payload, handy for debugging embeds, attachments, and metadata.
